Elea Velia archaeological park
The ancient Greek city of Elea, a major world historical value as the homeland of Parmenides' philosophy. In March of 1965 it was brought to light the “Porta Rosa” , the only evidence of Arc in Greek. We must not forget the “Angevin Tower”, a symbol of the surrounding area, which rests on the blocks of the Temple of Athena and on the Acropolis of the ancient city.

Ancient city of Magna Greece founded under the name of Poseidon in the VII a.C.,still today shows the great richness of its past imposing the 3 temples perfectly preserved, content in the ruins of the whole city. Of great interest is the Archaeological Museum, among the richest of the genre. The fresco of the “Tomb of the Diver” is famous all over the world.
Capo Palinuro and Camerota
L'antica città greca di Helea, di grande valore storico mondiale poichè patria della filosofia Parmenidea. Nel marzo del 1965 à stata riportata alla luce la "Porta Rosa", unica testimonianza di arco nel'architettura greca. Da non dimenticare la “Torre Angioina", simbolo del territorio circostante, che poggia sui blocchi del Tempio di Athena e sull'acropoli dell'antica città. .
Certosa of Padula
Certosa of San Lorenzo is the largest Carthusian monostary in Ialy, the second in Europe, and is located in Padula, in the Vallo of Diano, in the Province of Salerno. In 1998 it was declared Patrimony of Humanity of UNESCO. The monastery has the largest cloister in the world ( about 12,000 square meters ) and is surrounded by 84 columns. A large spiral staircase in white marble, leads to the large library. The main part of the Certosa is in Baroque and occupies an area of 51,500 square meters style on which more than 320 rooms are buit.
Pertosa Grottos
They have a flow of more than 100,000 visitors a year. Open to tourists since 1932, the first stretch is visited by a particular boat pulled by a steel cable that is used to reach the rest of the pedestrian rout. For several years, a show inspired by the “Inferno” (Hell) by Dante with a prehistoric scenery that counts 35 million years. The Angel's caves are crossed by the underground river Negro, which generates a pond and a waterfall, and it sails on a boat to the shore where the journey begins in the 10 circles of the “Inferno” (Hell).
